Its class to find a website just for leftys, especially bass players! Thanks a lot Arni.

Im a 16 year old bass player from the place you commonly see on the news around the world; Northern Ireland. You might say I am too young to be a bass player but all of the members in my band are only 16. I started to play the guitar at the tender age of 11 but I progressed very fast and soon became very comfortable playing. I was originally the singer of the band but when we lost our bass player we needed a replacement; me! So in 2000 I got my first bass which was a really nice left handed Yamaha. I got more and more into the bass guitar and found it to be the instrument that suited me perfect! Just lately I purchased a Fender Jazz bass Standard from America.

My main influence at the start of my bass playing was Black Sabbath’s Geezer Butler, but when all his stuff became easy to me I searched for a new idol. Then to my shock I discovered the Who’s John Entwhistle and Mettalica’s old bassist Cliff Burton. To this day I can still not believe the speed of Entwhistle on the fret board, and until the day I die Cliff Burton will always be my hero.

We have played a few gigs but everyone that has heard us has been impressed. If you have any questions to ask me or the band please e-mail me at ozzman101@hotmail.com. At the minute we do a lot of our own stuff and Guns ‘n’ Roses/ Metallica covers.
